Cobral Abrasivos was founded in 1996 in São Caetano do Sul, a municipality in the state of São Paulo, by businessman Flavio Romano Scognamiglio. Initially, the company operated out of a small garage.
Thanks to the deep knowledge and know-how of his father, Osvaldo Scognamiglio, who ran other companies in the same segment for decades, such as Carborundum, Sivat and Elfusa, Flavio was encouraged to follow the same field.
